About me
A Journey into the Heart of the Kitchen
I am a mother of two little ones, a French chef, and an expat who has called the Netherlands home for over a decade. But before I was balancing whisks and baby bottles, I spent ten years in the corporate world, managing digital marketing teams for start-ups and global companies.
While my career was in marketing, my heart was always in the kitchen. In a bold move to align my life with my passion, I returned to my roots, earning my Chef’s Diploma from a French Hotel School (CAP Cuisine) and gaining professional experience in high-pressure restaurant kitchens.
The Birth of The Kraam Kitchen
The idea for The Kraam Kitchen didn't start in a boardroom; it started at my own dining table in 2024, during my second postpartum journey.
I found myself juggling a demanding career and a growing family, trying to solve a puzzle many of us face: How do we truly nourish ourselves during those challenging times in a world where it is more and more complex to eat healthy? I spent hours obsessively reading ingredient lists in many suppliers and scouting local Dutch producers for the most vibrant, organic food. I experimented with meal planning and batch-cooking sessions, trying to find a way to deliver true nourishment to my body while also introducing new food to my baby, while keeping a picky toddler happy and a family dinner table comforting.
I did it all. The mom's exhaustion, the research, the prep and finally— The Kraam Kitchen was born for you to have the support you deserve during those challenging times.
My Philosophy: Food as a Pillar of Life
I believe that "you are what you eat" is more than a cliché; it is a biological reality. Food is the main pillar that connects us to nature, to our communities, and to our own vitality.
During the postpartum window, this connection is essential. But I realized that for most women, the "Village" we were promised has disappeared. We are expected to recover, nourish a new life, and manage a household—all while depleted.
Why I am here for you
I founded The Kraam Kitchen in 2026 to be the "Village" I knew was missing. I combined my French culinary training and my specialized certification in Postpartum Nutrition with my experience as a busy expat mom.
My mission is to empower you during the challenging, beautiful times of postpartum and busy family life. I created a service that does the heavy lifting for you. I spend the hours researching, I handle the ingredient sourcing, the hours of slow-simmering, and the nutrient-dense planning, so you and your family can receive the true nourishment you deserve. I’m here to share that knowledge and provide the "Village" you deserve—helping you feel empowered, nourished, and supported during the most challenging and beautiful times of family life.
From my kitchen to yours, let’s nourish the mother and her family, so she can nourish the world.
